The office began in 2013. The family's engineering work in Logan began in 1979 with Frontier Computing.

    Frontier Computing

    The family's engineering work begins in Logan with Frontier Computing, a software company that went on to build hospital and health records software through the 1980s and 1990s. FDEV history

  2. 2013

    Jacobsen Venture

    The office begins as Jacobsen Venture, a venture building practice that took technology and operating roles inside early-stage Utah companies.

  3. 2015

    FDEV

    The family's engineering work continues as FDEV, building software and websites for Utah companies.

  4. 2018

    BUILD Capital Partners and Pure Infusion

    The office co-founds BUILD Capital Partners in Salt Lake City. The same year BUILD co-founds Pure Infusion Suites, and FDEV takes on Pure's systems.

  5. 2019

    Xos and Pure's first clinic

    The office invests in Xos, the Los Angeles maker of electric commercial trucks. Pure opens its first clinic in Billings, Montana and announces a $40 million financing in October.

  6. 2020

    BUILD Chile and Aguas Patillo

    BUILD opens BUILD Chile in February and begins developing the Aguas Patillo desalination project on the Tarapacá coast.

  7. 2021

    Einride

    The office invests in Einride as it raises a $110 million Series B. Xos begins trading on Nasdaq in August.

  8. 2024

    Pure ranked first in Utah

    MWCN ranks Pure, then named Pure Healthcare, the fastest-growing company in Utah.

  9. 2025

    Utah Business Fast 50 and AleraCare

    Utah Business ranks Pure first on its Fast 50 in August. In November Pure merges with AleraCare in partnership with Hildred Capital, forming a network of 77 centers in 14 states.

  10. 2026

    Pure Infusion and Einride

    Pure launches the Pure Infusion brand from a new headquarters in Sandy, Utah in May. Einride begins trading on Nasdaq in June.
