Overview

Northern Chile is one of the driest places on earth, and its cities, mines and farms depend on water the region does not have. BUILD has developed Aguas Patillo, a seawater desalination project on the Tarapacá coast, through BUILD Chile since 2020, together with Chilean partners.

The design includes a seawater intake, a treatment plant and storage on the coast, and a pipeline inland. The office holds its interest through BUILD.
